Meet Shanique Taliaferro

Founder/CEO of BWNJ

Shanique Taliaferro is a lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ, and is a dedicated community advocate and outreach specialist. Throughout her career, Shanique has shown a passion for underserved communities, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment. Her life goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of others and to leave a legacy that her family can be proud of.

Shanique began her journey by formulating partnerships and planning fundraising events with non-profit agencies, government departments, and community stakeholders in New Jersey. Those experiences shaped her understanding and perspective about the challenges that minority businesses face, particularly those owned by Black women.
