
Internship Program
Black Women NJ is excited to announce the launch of our Internship Program! We are seeking motivated and passionate young women to join us in our mission to empower and support Black women across New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop professional skills, and contribute to a vibrant community network.
Internship Details

Duration: 3-6 months, with flexible hours to accommodate school schedules.​

Location: Primarily remote, with some in-person events and meetings.
Each intern is paired with a mentor from the BWNJ leadership team and also have opportunities to connect with other interns and peers.
Who is Eligibile?
Open to high school girl juniors, seniors, and college students.

Must have a strong interest in community service and women’s empowerment.

​Must have excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Internship Roles Available
Event Planning

Assist in organizing and executing social events for BWNJ.

Coordinate with vendors, speakers, and attendees.

Manage event logistics, including venue arrangements and supplies.

Promote events through various channels and platforms.

Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback.

Social Media

-
Create and manage content for social media accounts (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)

Develop and implement social media campaigns to create engagement

Monitor and respond to social media interactions.

Analyze metrics and prepare performance reports.

Stay updated on social media trends and best practices.

Communications

Draft newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and other communications materials.

Manage email correspondence and maintain contact lists.

Develop marketing materials to promote BWNJ events and initiatives.

Assist in maintaining and updating the BWNJ website content.

Collaborate on creating and distributing promotional content.

Community Outreach

Build and maintain relationships with local organizations and potential members.

Assist in coordinating community service projects and initiatives.

Represent BWNJ at community events and distribute promotional materials.

Conduct outreach efforts to increase membership and engagement.

Gather feedback from community members.
