"I have been a member of BWNJ for 6 months and I love it. It feels like home and a safe place. I love that we genuinely support, uplift, and love on each other. I recently I had a disagreement with someone who said "black women lack camaraderie." He said we are always in competition with one another and compared to other races of women we are not united. I disagreed with him on a large scale. BWNJ helps debunk those sentiments. I love it here. I have yet to participate in any gatherings, but I did join the BWNJ support group which I greatly appreciated. My goal is to get more involved in the future. I love Shanique's energy and enthusiasm. She's a beacon of light.

To all my fellow BWNJ members who can contribute their time and effort to keep this group's movement growing, you ROCK!

I joined Bwnj almost at the begining of forming. Being a part of this sisterhood is simply amazing. There has been lots of growth and expansion within the group. There has been several events that I have attended. The sisterhood at these events are always a whole fun time building meaningful relationships. I am so happy to be apart of this community. Oh the places we will go.

Joining Black Women New Jersey has opened up so many opportunities for me and connections that I could never have imagined making. Shqnique provides warmth and generosity to this community that is missing in so many others. The energy here is infectious. The events are not only fun but innovative and thoughtful. BWNJ, with all of its charitable efforts and support, makes you feel like you're part of something bigger. I can't wait to see where BWNJ goes from here.

I was so excited to meet women from different parts of the state. The diversity in age and station in life attracted me to this group. I believe I can learn from every woman. This group promotes unity, and being able to share our commonalities as well as our differences is the pinnacle of true sisterhood.
